Probably means nothing to most of you, but since I'm chronicling this here anyway: climbing v5 / 5.11 now and it feels goooood.

Well I mean right now everything hurts....

5.10 is damn hard, too. I plateau'd there for a long time until the new climbing gym opened down the street from my house---of course, now I have to move! Going there regularly and bouldering with people above my skill level helped me get past that block. 5.12, now, that's impossible...

I've more or less plateau'd at 5.9 since 2009. Then again I only climb once a week, if that. Do you lead climb?

The lead climbing course at my gym is really expensive; I might one day. I haven't climbed outdoors yet (and it is hard to do, given my schedule and parental responsibilities!) so it's not a priority anyway.

Where do you go in Montreal? Allez-up I guess?

I did it and it was about $100, but I've not done lead climbing since i was in Thailand 4 years ago.

Yes Allez Up. I recently moved to St Henri so it's super close to me.
